Right In The Thick Of It

Yeah, I sit in the middle of the road
White lines, and no directions flows
I watch the cars just miss me
Screeching... so they don't hit me
And I sit, right in the thick of it

Head lights, shine like the sun
I sing down the barrel of a gun
I'm holding up to my head
I hope... that its not loaded
And I sit, right in the thick of it

You might think I
Am wasting time
But I'm just waiting for life
Just waiting...

You might think I
Might not survive
But I'm just waiting for life
Just waiting for life

I sit in the middle of the road
Fogged out and so far from home
I left to find a release
I'm free... whatever that means
And I don't care what you think of it

I'm Fed up of being dead to the world
Treasure all the diamonds and pearls
That hold more value than me
When did... we all stop caring
So I'll sit, right in the thick of it

You might think I
Am wasting time
But I'm just waiting for life
Just waiting...

You might think I
Might not survive
But I'm just waiting for life
Just waiting for life

I think you're just like me
Well aren't we all a little crazy
So don't judge too quickly
Go hold a hand when someone falls to hard to land

I stand from the middle of the road
White noise and all the cars have flown
And left me with no glory
An empty... vesselled story
When I sat right in the thick of it

You might think I
Am wasting time
But I'm just waiting for life
Just waiting...

You might think I
Don't have the right
But I'm still waiting for life
Still waiting for life

Album Reviews

A song about standing at a crossroads, unsettled and indecisive. It speaks to someone who doesn't know which way to turn, frozen in the paralysis of choice. But there's also a defiant undercurrent: tell me what you have to say. Don't hold anything back, because I'm not afraid to face the truth. I'm crazy enough to put up with it. The song holds both the vulnerability of being lost and the fierce determination to confront whatever comes. It's existential, suspended, quietly tense — asking whether emotional paralysis is something to overcome or something to sit inside with eyes open.
